This is our cat Luke, investigating the Hedera helix cultivars in the tub after their bi-weekly soap-and-water rinse.Luke is not particularly photogenic, but in person, he is a very handsome cat indeed. Unlike our other cat, Peppermint, Luke is quite shy, but he is also very sweet. I call him my "little boyfriend," much to my husband's annoyance.
Below is a bonus Hedera picture. Had I known I had a photograph of this particular plant, I would have included it in this week's Ivy Chronicles.

Huh. I haven't seen anything like 'Yellow Ripple' before. We only got just so many varieties at work, and I tried really hard not to get them at all because of the spider mites. (I also tried to ban crotons for a while but was overruled.) So my English ivy education is a bit lacking.
Though I haven't seen any around here since 2008, I can't believe 'Yellow Ripple'* is all that unusual. I bought it at a Meijer, which is a supercenter (grocery and general merchandise) much like WalMart or Super Target. Not a place where one is likely to find rare plants.
*I've also seen the name 'Golden Ripple' around the web. 'Yellow Ripple' could be a Proven Winners trade name.
Luke looks very handsome. :-)
The ivy is pretty, but with my dry conditions here in the Arizona desert I try to avoid anything that's mite-prone.
